Are you an accounting professional looking for a career where your work truly makes a difference? Pathways is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department. In this role, you'll collaborate with a supportive team while helping maintain the financial integrity of one of the region's leading behavioral healthcare organizations.

- Maintain accounting records and financial transactions using Quick Books and other financial management systems.
- Perform monthly accounting for affiliated entities.
- Process and maintain payee and fiduciary financial records.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist with monthly financial statements and Board financial reports.
- Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies.
- Support budget monitoring and month-end/year-end close.
- Maintain organized accounting records for audits.
- Assist internal departments with financial information.
- Complete additional accounting projects as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Preferred
- One to three years of accounting experience.
- Experience with Quick Books.
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations.
- Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently
