Are you an accounting professional looking for a career where your work truly makes a difference? Pathways is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department. In this role, you'll collaborate with a supportive team while helping maintain the financial integrity of one of the region's leading behavioral healthcare organizations.

What You'll Do
  • Maintain accounting records and financial transactions using Quick Books and other financial management systems.
  • Perform monthly accounting for affiliated entities.
  • Process and maintain payee and fiduciary financial records.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Assist with monthly financial statements and Board financial reports.
  • Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support budget monitoring and month-end/year-end close.
  • Maintain organized accounting records for audits.
  • Assist internal departments with financial information.
  • Complete additional accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Preferred

  • One to three years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with Quick Books.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations.
  • Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but not required.
