Position Description

As a Marketing Coordinator at Thompson Turner Construction, you will be an essential member of our team, supporting our Industrial Building Group. This role is critical to the preparation of qualifications, proposals, and presentations for complex industrial and manufacturing projects, while also providing day-to-day administrative support to project executives and business development leaders. The ideal candidate is proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, pursuit-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Proposal and Marketing Support:
    • Coordinate, format, and respond to RFQs, RFPs, and interview materials for industrial and CM pursuits.
    • Manage proposal and content development such as proposal narratives, résumés, project sheets, schedules, and fee exhibits in collaboration with technical, and project teams using Adobe InDesign.
    • Maintain and update marketing content, including project descriptions, team résumés, safety information, organization charts, and experience matrices using Adobe InDesign.
    • Design and create print, digital, and social media content to promote the Industrial Building Group using Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Ensure proposal compliance with client requirements, submission instructions, and deadlines.
    • Manage internal reviews, edits, and final production of proposal deliverables and requested marketing materials.
    • Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations for clients, bid presentations, additional business development needs, etc.
    • Assist with other Thompson Turner Construction/Thompson Construction Group, Inc. marketing projects as needed
  • Administrative and Operational Support:
    • Serve as the primary coordination point for Industrial Building Group leadership, managing meetings, events, documentation workflows, and key communications.
    • Monitor and track pursuits, marketing deadlines, and deliverables using internal tools and systems.
    • Organize and maintain digital filing systems for proposals, contracts, and marketing assets. Maintain marketing-related sections on IBG’s Intranet site.
    • Coordinate onboarding documentation, internal reporting, and general office coordination as needed to support division efficiency.
    • Facilitate coordination with external partners, consultants, and trade partners during pursuits.
  • Brand and Quality Control:
    • Ensure all materials align with Thompson Turner branding, messaging, and quality standards.
    • Proofread and edit documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
    • Maintain version control and document integrity across multiple concurrent pursuits.
Job Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a marketing, proposal, or administrative support role, preferably within construction, engineering, or professional services.
  • Experience supporting RFP/RFQ responses or proposal production is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, or similar graphic design software is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
