About the Role:

Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator II provides administrative, procurement, and personnel-related support across multiple divisions within the Bureau of Regional and Laboratory Services (BRLS), including the Division of Environmental Emergency Response, Division of Onsite Wastewater (OSWW), Division of OSWW Field Operations, and the Division of Compliance and Customer Support. In this role, you will manage procurement activities, coordinate personnel-related processes, assist with inventory and property management, and support ESF-10 response operations within the Agency’s Incident Command Structure.

Through effective workflow coordination, accurate recordkeeping, and strong collaboration with internal and external partners, this position helps ensure smooth and efficient daily operations across the bureau.

Job Duties:
  • Assist with office business management and financial activities, including SCEIS. Oversee requisitions, contracts, and funding assignments for procuring supplies, equipment, utilities, services, and building repairs.
  • Serve as Property Custodian by maintaining inventory of supplies, furniture, equipment, and vehicles, and maintain records related to the transfer, disposal, or sale of items in accordance with agency policies.
  • Perform office administrative duties by organizing, developing, and implementing procedures for recording, routing, sorting, distributing, and filing documentation, reports, correspondence, and administrative forms.
  • Perform personnel-related processes for the office, including coordinating PCAS activities. Work with Human Resources and program supervisors to support new hires throughout the onboarding process, including first-day/orientation activities and assisting with new hire paperwork as needed. Promote training opportunities and register staff for applicable trainings while keeping them informed of current training requirements and opportunities.
  • Serve as Vehicle Coordinator for the Division of OSWW Central Office and the Division of Compliance and Customer Support. Collect monthly vehicle mileage logs for entry into the SFM Portal, manage leased vehicle tracking and invoicing, and ensure vehicles meet State Fleet usage requirements. Assist local vehicle coordinators with daily fleet operations, including accident procedures, coordinating repairs, and vehicle procurement.
  • Support ESF-10 activities during planning, drills, and real-world events at assigned locations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending periodic staff meetings and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license, be able to operate state-owned vehicles, and travel throughout the state to complete job duties as needed.

  • Overnight travel, weekend, after hours, and holiday work may be required.
