ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meets assigned sales and service goals
  • Responsible for developing new business relationships for the credit union and growing existing business relationships.
  • Works closely with member-facing staff to generate business loan and business account referrals. Attends branch meetings and coaches frontline staff when needed.
  • Assists in‑branch Business Service Representatives (BSR) with questions related to new account origination, business eligibility, loan applications, and other areas of business services as needed.
  • Assists with the system testing of new or existing products or services.
  • Originates business service product applications through various service channels to include in‑person, web, and phone.
  • Attends community events to foster new business relationships and solicit new business account growth within the Credit Union’s field of membership.
  • Utilizes in person, telephone, and online communication to support existing business members and to solicit business relationships from non‑members within our field of membership.
  • Adheres to the Member Service Standards set forth by the credit union to deliver the SAFE experience to all current and potential business members.
  • Assists the Business Services Manager with training opportunities such as monthly webinars, product training for staff and other training needs within the credit union. Attentively attends business services related training sessions, third‑party vendor, and other related meetings in person or virtually.
  • Processes all applications and documentation in accordance with NCUA guidelines and credit union policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Performance Standards

Accuracy in documentation ‑‑ from application taking to closing documentation ‑‑ and following established policies, practices, and procedures for lending and collection. Ability to process loans and deposit applications in a timely manner.

Your position has specific procedures that must be followed to comply with Privacy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), S.A.F.E. Act and Bank Secrecy/Patriot Act. You will receive annual training to keep you current on any changes to these policies/procedures to assure compliance. Failure to comply with procedures may cause termination of your position as well as possible monetary penalties from the federal regulatory agency.

EDUCATION

And/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma; and at least two years related experience and/or training in business development; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as credit bureau reports, credit underwriting reports, industry reports, policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with borrowers and other employees of organization.
