Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Operations Manager
Overview
As an Associate Director, you will spearhead the development and execution of manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with our core objectives of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your role is pivotal in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, championing a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead the development, execution, and monitoring of operations aligned with overall operational objectives to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and performance improvements.
- Create a positive, inclusive work environment promoting a speak‑up culture based on the BD Production System/BD Excellence.
- Ensure a safe working environment that engages all associates and complies with all regulatory, BD, and internal policies.
- Drive continuous safety improvement in process safety management, ergonomics, facilities, and equipment.
- Actively promote Inspire Quality initiatives and ensure compliance with local BD quality policies, including GMP, CFR, and ISO standards.
- Lead the evolution of the BD Production System/BD Excellence and expansion of Kaizen to reduce Zero Loss.
- Focus on increasing OEE, enhancing asset reliability and availability through improved maintenance, and optimizing product cost to lower COGS.
- Oversee and guide the establishment of yearly budgets and goals, monitoring and handling the budget throughout the planned period.
- Coordinate and collaborate on projects with R&D, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Finance, Materials, and Marketing to drive positive business outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Operations Management experience.
- 5+ years of cross‑functional experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, or Finance.
- Experience at the supervisor and/or manager level is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of total manufacturing experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and social skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, teach, and train.
- Organized, systems‑driven, and detail oriented with strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Results‑ and solution‑oriented.
- Influence without authority.
- Solid financial discernment related to P&L.
- General understanding of GMP, ISO, OSHA, and EAP requirements.
- Experience with high‑cavity injection molding, high‑speed automated manufacturing, rubber compounding, and part forming.
- Knowledge of implementing and running production systems, driving change, cost improvements, and increasing efficiencies.
- Demonstrated ability in leading cross‑functional teams and tactical planning sessions.
This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work vary. Standard shift is Mon–Fri 8AM‑5PM, with flexibility to support presence on all shifts. The role requires occasional light physical effort (e.g., prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, and/or lifting of items up to 30lbs.). The working environment is primarily office‑based with moderate noise and occasional odors.
