Responsibilities- Develop, evangelize, and execute a connectivity‑led experience strategy for the Chamberlain product portfolio, aligned with business objectives to drive profitable growth.
- Shape what “connected” means for Chamberlain — defining principles, platform decisions, partnership posture, and experience standards for every product.
- Make ease of use measurable by defining and instrumenting metrics that assess each release’s impact on consumers, technicians, dealers, and distributors.
- Own the end‑to‑end product surface, including hardware design choices, cloud platform capabilities, dealer and technician tools, and services, and unite them as a single experience.
- Set a three‑year vision for connectivity across the portfolio and the broader myQ ecosystem.
- Engage with homeowners, dealers, technicians, and distributors through ride‑alongs, field visits, advisory boards, and trade events, translating learnings into product priorities.
- Partner with sales and channel leadership to design dealer programs, training, tooling, and merchandising that make the connected portfolio easy to sell, install, and service profitably.
- Lead and grow a team of Product Managers, setting the bar for product rigor, customer obsession, and cross‑functional discipline.
- Run roadmap governance across multiple work streams, overseeing backlog prioritization, release sequencing, and stage‑gate decisions for hardware, firmware, cloud, and app.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment across Engineering, Product Design, Sales, Channel, Marketing, Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Advise senior leaders on adjacent moves such as M&A, licensing, ecosystem partnerships, and other inorganic levers that accelerate the strategy.
- Represent Chamberlain Group externally with major channel partners, OEM partners, industry associations, and trade press.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and maintain confidentiality to protect the company’s reputation.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing related results and participating in projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Engineering, Marketing, and/or Product Management, managing product portfolios with multiple categories.
- Ability to work in a matrixed, Agile software development environment.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies or other commonly used tools.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- Prior experience managing hardware and software offerings, with P&L management.
- Experience with Voice of Customer programs.
- Experience with end‑to‑end ownership of at least one connected product.
- Experience building or upgrading a PM team.
- Comfortable interacting with highly technical development teams.
The pay range for this position is $ – $; base pay offered may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience. In addition to base pay, a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k) contribution are offered (subject to eligibility). This position is eligible for participation in a short‑term incentive plan, subject to applicable plans and policies.
