This position provides leadership over the OIDD-Pee Dee Supply Division. Oversees the Warehouse, Housekeeping, and Mail as well as the duties of Supply Operations including scheduling, procurement, cost analysis, and planning and development.

  • Performs weekly inventories of household and personal care items in residential buildings and places appropriate orders from vendor contracts. Receives and checks quality and quantity of supplies and equipment for compliance with requisitions. Maintains accountability until completion of delivery. Forwards supporting documents to other departments, Central Office, etc as needed.
  • Manages stock levels of office supplies, paper, emergency supplies and non-contract personal care items. Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels. Processes various purchase transactions based on agency policies and procurement guidelines.
  • Provides supervision and leadership to Warehouse/Supply and Housekeeping Departments. Responsible for the daily logs of the staff. Ensures adequate but not excessive staffing levels. Motivates the staff to be effective and efficient in all duties. Provides training opportunities to enhance job skills and cross training of staff.
  • Continuously examines practices and purchasing patterns to identify cost savings or efficiency opportunities without compromising quality. Ensures all purchases are necessary and comply with state and agency procurement regulations. Ensures Supply and Housekeeping operate within its assigned budget. Ensures proper procedures for inventory handling, rotation, and accountability are observed.
  • Manages Plant Operations stockroom. Provides support as needed for work orders, issues, and inventory maintenance.
  • Oversees all warehouse operations including coordinating Regional Center’s supportive services, such as mail distribution, vendor supply order reporting, etc. Responsible for distributing work and assigning jobs to the warehouse staff as needed.
  • Responsible for following all Agency policies and procedures. May be required to perform and/or participate in outcome activities and any other related duties as assigned by the Support Services Director or Facility Administrator.

The position for this posting is located at Pee Dee Regional Center, an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF-IID) of BHDD-OIDD located in Florence, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment to include supervisory work experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for work experience. A valid SC Driver’s License.

Three years of experience in warehousing or supply. One year of experience as a supervisor. Knowledge of supply practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures applicable to property and inventory. Ability to train subordinate employees. Ability to oversee the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to use a computer in the performance of routine tasks.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to endure lengthy periods of sitting, walking, climbing, etc.
