Reeves Construction Company is seeking an individual for the position of Skilled Laborer (Grade Crew) based in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate will focus on safety excellence.

• Perform physically demanding labor such as shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete with short or long handle shovels.
• Cut or trim trees and vegetation using axes, ditch blades, sling blades, chainsaws or power weed trimmers.
• Drive stakes or break pavement using sledge hammers, dig holes with hand-operated post hole diggers, operate hand‑driven compaction devices, and broom dirt and debris with hand brooms.
• Work at asphalt plants, existing roads or streets under traffic, new roads and streets without traffic, various construction sites, and office or shop facilities.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

• Previous experience (preferred).
• Driving License (preferred); reliable transportation to job sites required.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Strong safety awareness and willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Availability for periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours.
• Must wear proper safety attire at all times, including safety vests, safety glasses, long pants, and ankle‑to‑toe safety shoes.
• Must be able to provide documentation proving legal right to work in the United States.

The physical demands of this job include regular use of hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing, and occasional sitting, with frequent exposure to loud noise. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision requirements include 20/40 vision, either natural or with corrective lenses; hearing should be excellent or corrected with an audio device.

Work involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.
