Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above. Must have a valid South Carolina teacher's certificate in Special Education (Preferably Multicategorical Certification but Learning Disabilities will be accepted).
- Minimum of 3 years teaching in special education. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Must have knowledge of the policies, procedures and activities of the school district which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the job
- Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of the records, forms and reports which must be prepared and maintained
- Has thorough and comprehensive knowledge of current research in programs for students with disabilities procedures, legal issues, instruction and assessment
