qualificationsvalid south carolina teaching certificate. Minimum of three (3) years highly successful teaching experience. Successful experience in coaching and supporting teachers and school leaders in instructional technology. Knowledge of effective design and presentation strategies for professional development. Experience using technology to improve teaching and learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong knowledge and skill in personalized learning. Ability to stay current with trends in technology as they apply to k-12 education.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with teachers and administrators. Working knowledge of applications software and computer technology in a networked environment. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- collaborates with teachers in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons and supports the teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms.
- promotes model instructional practices and the role of technology in them.
- articulates appropriate instructional technology practices as described in technology standards for students, and teachers.
- provides assistance and training to building instructional staff in the integration of technology to support student achievement. This includes planning and implementing job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small groups, and large groups. Collaborates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials and software.
- assists with technology training as part of collaborative school district staff development initiatives and supports regional and statewide initiatives such as nclb, and the technology standards for teachers and students.
- works with curriculum staff to develop and implement technology enhanced curriculum integration projects.
- coordinates and conducts professional development activities for staff.
- manages resource allocations and curriculum enhancements for the purpose of ensuring that they are based on needs assessment.
- participates in district-level leadership team meetings and planning (as appropriate).
- performs such other tasks (which may require knowledge of other job descriptions) as may seem to be appropriate to the school board or administration.
- physical requirements: requires sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a recurring basis or routine keyboard operations. Requires mobility.
