Minimum of a Master's degree and valid South Carolina educator certification in Elementary School Counseling.

School Counselor will work with Pre-K - 5 grade students.

Building Level Principal

• Works with students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom.
• Guides in the decision making processes concerning academics and personal/social development.
• Helps students evaluate their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personal characteristics for educational planning.
• Consults with outside resources/agencies to maximize and coordinate the use of available services.
• Consults with parents regarding their children, school related issues, and meetings for special purposes.
• Assists students in developing self-confidence and a positive self-concept.
• Assists students in strengthening interpersonal skills.
• Attends staff, professional and inter-agency meetings.
• Confers with teachers and parents whenever necessary.
• Participates in regular staff meetings and ongoing trainings.

195 Days.

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation.
