Job SummaryProvide classroom instruction, academic advising, graduate placement assistance, student orientation, curriculum development, program design and committee participation.
Responsibilities- Provide high quality instruction, teach assigned courses, develop course materials, and demonstrate effective interaction skills.
- Provide academic advising, assist with recruitment, develop retention activities, graduate placement, orientation/registration, and safety instruction.
- Manage classroom, lab, or clinic activities, hold 8 office hours per week, submit required reports, prepare budget projections and maintain facilities.
- Design and revise programs and curricula, develop new courses, update instructional materials, and participate in advisory committees.
- Participate in college committees, perform public service, supervise student events, promote institutional objectives, and build employer relationships.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s with concentration in the teaching discipline (at least 18 graduate semester hours).
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous teaching experience in the field, preferably with multimedia technology, learning management systems, conferencing software, and online instruction.
- Experience teaching writing and literature using student‑self assessment curricula.
- Experience with appreciative advising; proficiency in using AI tools and technology for educational purposes.
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (depending on course schedule).
