Instructor of Anthropology
The University of South Carolina Sumter is seeking a full-time Instructor of Anthropology (non-tenure track) position to begin August 16, 2026. A master's degree in anthropology with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in anthropology required at the time of appointment. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is required. The successful candidate should be able to teach ANTH
102 (Understanding Other Cultures) and ANTH
161 (Human Origins: An Introduction to Biological Anthropology) on the Sumter campus, at partner sites in the Richland/Lexington area, and remotely. Experience teaching the above-named courses or their equivalent is a plus. The teaching load comprises twelve to thirteen hours per semester. Student advising and participation on campus committees are expected. Starting salary at least $45,000 per academic year.
