Position Overview
Trident Technical College is seeking a Civil Engineering Technology Program Coordinator. This role involves teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, preparing and updating program course syllabi, evaluating student performance, advising students, building relationships with local industry, scheduling class and lab time, and instructing day and/or evening courses.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in civil engineering technology and civil engineering transfer curriculum.
- Design and develop curriculum and course content.
- Prepare and update program course syllabi.
- Evaluate student performance and advise students.
- Develop and foster relationships with local industry.
- Schedule class and lab time effectively.
- Instruct day and/or evening courses.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture and minimum 2 years related work experience.
- Preferred:
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Master’s with 18 graduate hours of Architecture or Construction Management and 2 years related work experience. - Teaching experience desired.
- Ability to instruct surveying required.
- Ability to instruct AutoCAD and Civil 3D CAD preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience, with a starting salary of $80,000 for 12 months.
