Adjunct Faculty in Chemistry

USCB invites applications for part-time faculty in Chemistry. These appointments are on a course‑by‑course basis. Documents required include a Resume/CV and a Cover Letter addressing teaching philosophy.

• Masters degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field and college teaching experience.

• Teaching responsibilities for part‑time courses in Chemistry, with a flexible schedule to meet department needs. You may be assigned courses on a semester‑by‑semester basis, and your availability will be considered in scheduling decisions. The role involves preparing lesson plans, delivering instruction, assessing student work, and participating in departmental meetings.

Temporary employees who work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for health and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and retirement programs through the State of SC and Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA).
