Caseload Details:
Blazer Jobs seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in a self-contained classroom with approximately 11 PreK students diagnosed with autism. This role requires a compassionate and experienced educator who is committed to providing individualized support and fostering a positive learning environment for young children with special needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with other special education staff, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Active South Carolina SPED Multi-categorical license.
- Previous experience in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Experience working with children on the autism spectrum is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
