Adjunct Professor - Small Engine Repair

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Small Engine Repair Instructor to deliver hands-on training in Small Engine Repair. The instructor will prepare students to diagnose, maintain, repair, and rebuild a variety of small engines and outdoor power equipment, equipping them with the skills needed for entry-level employment or to maintain their own equipment. Keep student records and adheres to course schedules.

This position will be located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus

• At least three (3) years of recent experience in small engine repair, outdoor power equipment service, or a related mechanical field.

• Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or workforce development experience.
• Industry certifications related to small engine repair or outdoor power equipment. ASE, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, STIHL, ECHO, or other manufacturer certifications.

Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $40 per hour. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
