Position: Environmental Health Safety Specialist 3

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies that ensure the overall safety and health of employees while enabling compliant business operations. This role applies in-depth knowledge ofEHSlaws, regulations, and management systems. TheEHSEngineer acts as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for site compliance and maturity, integrating regulatory requirements into site processes and supporting sustainability initiatives.

The role also ensures the site maintains ISO 1401 certification and remains audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key contributor to allEHSinitiatives on-site
  • Act as deputy

    EHSLeader in the absence of theEHSLeader
  • Participate in and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert within theEHSteam
  • Support new equipment projects from design through operational stages asEHSrepresentative
  • Lead and influence safety and sustainability campaigns across the site
  • Interface with regulatory authorities and insurance representatives onEHSmatters
  • Maintain expertise in machine guarding, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and technical safety programs
  • Track and support site sustainability goals and project completion
  • Contribute to maintaining ISO 14001 certification and audit readiness
  • Participate in broader

    EHSprograms as required
  • Promote a positive safety culture and influence employees across all levels
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
  • OR Bachelor’s/Associate degree in a technical orEHSfield with 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading

    EHSprojects and teams
  • Certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CIH preferred
  • Experience in environmental compliance, reporting, permitting, and regulatory adherence
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
  • Experience with Title V reporting and regulations
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 compliance preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to coach, influence, and counsel effectively
  • Solid understanding of federal and stateEHSregulations
  • Ability to identify and evaluate workplace hazards and environmental risks
  • Experience working in cross-functional and diverse team environments
  • Ability to lead projects and virtual teams
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment
