Take the lead on innovative groundwater and aquifer projects as a Groundwater Systems Technical Leader. In this role, you’ll guide the technical strategy, mentor a talented team, and collaborate directly with clients to deliver advanced water resource solutions.
Ideal for an experienced hydrogeologist or water resources engineer, this position offers the chance to shape complex projects, influence technical decisions, and contribute to a national portfolio of impactful public-sector water and environmental initiatives.
Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):- Lead a multidisciplinary technical team responsible for planning, master planning, and detailed design of groundwater systems
- Lead a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative groundwater and aquifer projects
- Serve as the technical authority for municipal water, brackish groundwater, ASR, indirect potable reuse, and injection well systems
- Oversee design, drilling programs, pumping systems, wellhead infrastructure, and field investigations
- Coordinate across engineering, permitting, and construction teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and proposals
- Act as the main technical contact for clients, regulators, and industry partners
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering growth of the groundwater discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Licensed PG or PE
- 12+ years in groundwater systems, hydrogeology, or water resources engineering
- Strong experience with municipal groundwater supply and advanced applications (ASR, indirect potable reuse, brackish groundwater, injection wells)
- Skilled in drilling programs, aquifer testing, and field investigations
- Familiarity with groundwater regulatory and permitting processes
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
