Job Summary
GE Vernova Gas Power Technical Compliance (GPTC) organization is responsible for Technical Regulations and Standards review and application to products and projects. GPTC provides coverage in TRS expertise throughout the lifecycle of power generation equipment. The role is an early‑career engineer responsible for driving compliance with global codes and standards for Gas Power Engineering Projects, including heavy duty and aero derivatives, across the Americas region.
Roles and Responsibilities- Work within the guidelines of internal policies, procedures and engineering standards to promote and prioritize safety culture.
- Serve as project regulatory compliance lead for specific technologies (GT, GEN, ST, BOP) and TRS categories such as environmental compliance, pressure equipment compliance, explosive atmospheres compliance, machinery safety, and more for both heavy‑duty and aero‑derivative units.
- Support product engineering, manufacturing and design teams to optimize design for regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regulatory compliance assessments and manage project technical compliance plans by reviewing applicable regulations and referenced standards.
- Monitor quality, schedule and cost to ensure requirements are met for the scope of work.
- Interact with external engineering firms or governmental agencies to provide product compliance to required regional or national technical regulations and standards, thereby obtaining product certification or registration.
- Assist in resolving manufacturing, design and field problems related to regulatory compliance.
- Control documentation of compliance plans and final certification.
- Communicate results and actions to relevant engineering and project teams.
- Act independently to achieve project TRS compliance.
- Interpret code requirements and apply them practically to product design.
- Partner with manufacturing, design and field teams to resolve regulatory compliance issues.
- Assist with equipment inspections and audits to ensure manufacturing compliance with codes.
- Proactively pursue business initiatives such as quality, PLM multi‑generation rollout, productivity (lean), product cost out (PCO) and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university, or equivalent.
- 1–3years of experience in engineering design.
- Knowledge of the energy industry.
- Occasional travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical & electronics, mechanical or computer science & electrical engineering.
- Strong organizational, facilitation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead and execute multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with design engineering counterparts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities.
- Familiarity with ISO‐9401:2015.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Certified compliance with GE Vernova Spirit & Letter, high level of integrity.
- Annual base salary range: $80,000.00 – $.
- Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
