Sr Manufacturing Engineer - Fixture & Part Movement

The Industrialization team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing standards for developing and industrializing manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role leads development and improvement initiatives around fixtures, part movement, and connected processes with a focus on safety and quality.

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines to execute policy, strategy, and roadmap initiatives.
• Execute hand-offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments.
• Lead hands-on development of new products and processes to enable successful hand-off to the production team.
• Manage project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, and internal customers.
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers across teams.
• Identify and eliminate waste while coaching others.
• Engineer, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness.
• Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development.
• Utilize Kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate on breakthrough initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or heavy equipment experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment.
• Strong background in fixture design.
• Proficiency in NX and managing tooling/fixture programs.
• Experience designing and building control systems.
• Experience in fabrication and/or machining.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Proven analytical and organizational ability.
• Deep manufacturing technical expertise.
• Comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology.
