Commissioning Manager; Electrical

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Manager to lead electrical commissioning activities on large-scale mission-critical data center projects across South Carolina. This individual will oversee the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of electrical commissioning from pre-functional testing through integrated systems testing and client handover.

This is a leadership role suited to someone with extensive experience commissioning critical electrical infrastructure including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, switch gear, transformers, PDUs, STS units, and EPMS/BMS integration within hyperscale or enterprise data center environments.

• Lead the electrical commissioning programme from project inception through final turnover.
• Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and testing documentation.
• Coordinate Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning activities.
• Ensure commissioning milestones align with overall construction schedules.
• Drive successful project completion while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule objectives.

• Coordinate commissioning activities between General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, Equipment Vendors and Client teams.
• Chair daily commissioning meetings.
• Resolve technical issues and commissioning roadblocks.
• Coordinate equipment energisation and turnover sequencing.
• Review construction progress to ensure commissioning readiness.

• Review electrical drawings, specifications and submittals.
• Develop commissioning scripts and test procedures.
• Manage punch lists and deficiencies through closeout.
• Produce commissioning reports and turnover documentation.
• Maintain commissioning logs and issue tracking.

• Ensure commissioning activities comply with project specifications and client standards.
• Enforce electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture across commissioning teams.
• Verify all testing is completed in accordance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA and project requirements.

• Serve as the primary electrical commissioning contact for clients.
• Attend owner meetings and progress reviews.
• Provide regular commissioning status updates.
• Support integrated systems testing (IST).
• Lead final client demonstrations and project turnover.

• 5+ years of electrical experience.
• 2+ years managing commissioning teams on mission-critical projects.
