We are seeking a Loan Review Consultant to support credit risk consulting projects for a variety of clients within the financial services industry. In this role, you will assist in evaluating credit quality, loan documentation, and compliance with bank policies while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial institutions and lending portfolios.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide loan review support and assist with credit risk consulting engagements for financial institution clients.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze loan documentation, including financial statements, collateral information, and supporting credit files.
  • Prepare preliminary financial analyses, including basic cash flow assessments and collateral evaluations, to identify potential credit risks.
  • Evaluate whether commercial loan files adhere to bank policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state banking regulations.
  • Review loan documentation for completeness and consistency, identifying exceptions and escalating findings to senior team members as appropriate.
  • Assist in systematic reviews of commercial loan portfolios to evaluate credit quality, documentation, credit administration, and policy compliance.
  • Support additional credit-related consulting projects, including due diligence engagements and data analysis initiatives.
  • Contribute to loan review reports and other client deliverables by preparing analyses, exhibits, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain project tracking tools and internal workflows while managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Develop knowledge of loan origination, underwriting, credit administration, and credit risk management practices.
  • Utilize Excel and other analytical tools to improve efficiency and support client engagements.
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple client engagements and geographic markets while delivering high-quality client service.
Qualifications

Educational and Professional Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 1+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, loan review, financial institutions, or risk consulting. Completion of a commercial banking training program is preferred, but not required.

Preferred Knowledge and

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of commercial lending, underwriting, and credit analysis.
  • Familiarity with commercial loan products and financial statement analysis.
  • Knowledge of credit processes, including loan origination, underwriting, credit administration, and portfolio management.
  • Understanding of federal and state banking regulations related to commercial lending is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical or reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies, banking systems, and credit risk methodologies.
  • Self‑motivated, resourceful, and committed to delivering high‑quality work and exceptional client service.

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client engagement needs.

Salary Range

The disclosed range estimate for this role is $58,300.00 – $ per year.
