Senior Accountant/Fiscal Analyst position at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Mental Health Central Office in Cayce.
The role involves serving as financial administrator and budget authority for inpatient, long-term, and addictions divisions, overseeing budget development, forecasting, procurement, and fiscal compliance.
Responsibilities- Preparing monthly financial reports
- Managing budget changes
- Conducting training for leadership
- Ensuring efficient processing of financial transactions throughout the fiscal year
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in budget development, forecasting, monitoring, healthcare management, and/or procurement
- Knowledge of governmental and BHDD fiscal procedures, practices, and policies
- Proficiency in MS Office and financial management software
- Strong written and oral communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare laws and regulations
