Overview

Deliver expert perioperative support as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in a dynamic acute care hospital setting. This contract role offers a balanced day schedule with options for either 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, starting early morning to mid-afternoon. You will be operating in a facility with five operating rooms, requiring versatility across multiple surgical service lines including floating between sister facilities when needed.

On-call responsibility includes coverage for two weekends every six weeks plus holiday rotation, ensuring comprehensive patient care coverage.

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready.
• Assist during surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of surgeons and providing necessary equipment.
• Manage and monitor surgical instrumentation, including radiation safety protocols requiring use of a radiation badge.
• Float between various service lines and locations, adapting to different surgical environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response teams during hurricane season when needed.

• Minimum of three years experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS certification and NBSTSA certification required; NCCT not accepted.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary surgical environment.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency; facility does not provide badges.
