Director of Housekeeping

The Director of Housekeeping leads all aspects of the housekeeping operation, ensuring the resort consistently delivers exceptional luxury service and pristine accommodations. This role is responsible for team leadership, operational efficiency, financial stewardship, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

• Lead, mentor, and support housekeeping leaders, room attendants, laundry, and public area teams.
• Recruit, train, and retain top housekeeping talent.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and guest-first service.
• Implement ongoing training programs to uphold five-star luxury standards.

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, suites, residences, and public spaces.
• Partner with Front Office, Engineering, Spa, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Supervise laundry and uniform operations with efficiency and quality focus.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, including labor, supplies, and capital expenditures.
• Monitor and control inventory of linens, amenities, and supplies.
• Implement cost-control initiatives while maintaining uncompromising service levels.
• Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports for leadership review.

• Ensure every guest encounter reflects anticipatory, personalized, five-star service.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve service challenges quickly and effectively.
• Maintain strong presence on property to uphold luxury standards and address needs in real time.

• Drive eco-friendly housekeeping practices aligned with the resort’s sustainability goals.
• Promote environmentally responsible use of resources and products.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment for all team members.

• 7+ years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or private clubs.
• 3+ years in a senior management role required.
• Demonstrated success leading large, diverse housekeeping teams in high-volume environments.
• Strong financial management skills with experience in budget creation and cost controls.
• Proficiency with property management and housekeeping systems (Opera, HotSOS, or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, seasonal resort environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and guest service mindset.
