Responsibilities- Provide Tier 1 enterprise IT help desk technical support to AFCENT users.
- Troubleshoot and implement solutions to resolve incidents and problems on supported systems, network infrastructure, voice, and video, to include enterprise-level routers, switches, servers, firewalls, proxies and caching arrays.
- Monitor systems/network performance metrics and trends to identify substandard performance and anomalies.
- Escalate complex systems/network performance, bandwidth and security issues and incidents to senior engineers/SMEs (Tier 2 and
3) for analysis and resolution. - Perform Local Registration Authority (LRA) duties.
- Provide LAN support and WAN Enterprise support.
- 3+ years experience in systems and network support.
- Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II).
- Must be CCNA or Network+ certified.
- Must hold the ITIL Foundations certification or be able to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire.
- Experience providing LAN/WAN support.
- Experience with firewall administration.
- Experience supporting DoD projects.
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to interact professionally within all levels of an organization.
- Must be able to provide support in a 24/7/365 environment including occasionally covering shifts outside of the assigned shift and/or providing after hours, weekend, or holiday support as needed on a rotational basis.
- Must be able to travel to CONUS sites to provide TDY support.
- Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
