Operations Systems Coordinator

Job Overview

Data & IoT Systems Engineer with a minimum of 2 to 6 years of experience in data warehouse, data analysis, and data manipulation concepts. Requires strong aptitude, learning agility for technology, and good communication skills to support Hubbell Utility Systems at its Aiken, SC facility.

• Gather requirements from key business users and develop proposed solutions
• Review proposed solutions with key business users for approval of final solution and project scope
• Implement data transfers, queries, and reports to meet customer needs
• Create and maintain standards and procedural documentation related to solutions
• Design and develop queries for user community using various software tools
• Perform data validation and data integrity tests, ensuring reports and applications comply with user requirements
• Develop jobs/processes to ensure efficient, accurate receipt and processing of data sources
• Monitor and recommend changes to all SQL packages, provide stored procedures, and design and develop relational databases
• Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and integrity issues when necessary
• Provide enhancements to existing databases in Operations by gathering detailed requirements and coordinating implementation, rollout, and support of relevant systems
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and further develop the Hubbell Aiken IIOT network to enable vendor remote access to automation equipment and internal data collection and storage from automation equipment
• Evaluate, implement, and maintain cloud storage solutions for IoT using MQTT as necessary

• Experience generating, maintaining, and using MSSQL & Microsoft Access databases
• Experience creating reports with Power BI, MS Access, Excel, and web‑based reports using Apache Superset
• Minimum 2‑4 years of VBA experience; other programming languages are helpful
• Experience with IoT networking and security
• Solid understanding of OEE concepts
• Aptitude in data analysis and presentation
• Good knowledge of logical and physical data modelling using normalizing techniques
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (English – verbal & written)

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology
