Position SummaryKinetic Concepts is seeking an experienced Travel Clerk IV / Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) to provide Defense Travel System (DTS) administration and technical support for Headquarters, U.S. Army Central (USARCENT).
The Lead DTA serves as the primary contractor interface with Government leadership and is responsible for managing DTS operations, routing lists, organizational hierarchies, travel policy compliance, and customer support while ensuring uninterrupted travel services for government personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Serve as the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) for Headquarters USARCENT.
- Manage DTS routing lists and organizational hierarchies.
- Create, update, and maintain traveler profiles and Lines of Accounting (LOAs).
- Perform technical reviews of travel authorizations, vouchers, and local vouchers for compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Financial Management Regulation (FMR).
- Monitor DTS workflow and ensure timely processing of travel documents while maintaining compliance with established service standards.
- Reconcile Centrally Billed Account (CBA) transactions.
- Provide Tier I and Tier II DTS customer support.
- Assist travelers, Authorizing Officials (AOs), Reviewing Officials (ROs), Resource Managers (RMs), and organizational DTS users.
- Troubleshoot DTS system issues and coordinate resolution.
- Maintain DD Form 577 appointments and required documentation.
- Prepare reports and provide recommendations to Government leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Department of War (DoW) travel regulations and agency policies.
- Lead technical response during system outages, including status reporting to Government leadership, root cause coordination with financial system counterparts, and development of corrective action plans to restore mission operations.
- Active Final SECRET Security Clearance required.
- Minimum five (5) years supporting Defense Travel System (DTS) operations within a DoW environment.
- Experience serving as a Lead DTA or Organizational DTA.
- Thorough knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
- Experience managing DTS routing lists, profiles, hierarchies, and Lines of Accounting.
- Must be eligible for appointment as an Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA/LDTA) and maintain an active DD Form 577 Appointment as required by USARCENT.
- DoW-approved baseline cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) required for privileged system access.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Current DTMO TraX certifications required prior to performance, including DTA Maintenance, Travel Policies (JTR), and Initial TAOCO. Candidates must be able to complete and maintain all additional DTMO TraX training required under the contract.
- Experience supporting Army organizations.
- Experience using DTS, GFEBS, or related DoW financial systems.
- Experience supporting headquarters-level organizations.
- E xperience with deployment or contingency travel.
- Experience supporting OCONUS travel.
