Overview
Job Description for Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division seeking a Materials Supervisor in Sumter, SC. This On-Site role is eligible for a variable incentive program. The salary range provided is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. The position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

What You’ll Do- Ensure the Supply Chain Team has necessary information and materials to deliver high-quality customer service; collaborate with other departments to gather information for decision-making related to inventory and freight costs.
- Ensure team metrics are attained regarding supplier performance and procure components and raw materials using available tools to maximize inventory levels and perpetual accuracy.
- Drive materials improvements internally through the supply chain leadership and externally via Lean processes to enhance reliability and delivery of goods, inventory accuracy, and item analysis.
- Monitor purchased part inventory transactions and seek improvements.
- Obtain information from SIOP for material planning and forecasting.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing procedures within Supply Chain to recommend areas of improvement.
- Proficient in ERP procurement planning system, supported by Lean methodology.
- Analyze ERP reports for execution; maintain planning parameters in MAPICs.
- Adhere to standard department processes as established by site leadership and divisional strategies.
- Own buyer’s performance such as PO placement, expediting/de-expediting, inventory, shortages, premium freight, invoice resolution, and past-due reduction.
- Improve automated processes to maximize information and material flow to support plant manufacturing goals.
- Provide coaching and leadership to employees to encourage performance and skill development; plan and manage people, technology, and materials to achieve continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related functions.
- Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position (no CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap, O-1, E-3, TN, I-485 job portability, etc.).
- No relocation offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of the Sumter, SC facility. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographic limitation.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or administration from an accredited institution.
- 1+ year of experience managing people and/or project teams.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience with Eaton systems:
Vista, Bid Manager, Panel board Allocation System, Plant Order Manager, Mentor, OMS and AS400. - Experience in manufacturing management or operational excellence;
Lean Manufacturing background. - Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Extensive Infor (or similar ERP) planning expertise.
