The Parts Manager is a key operational leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of parts procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution at our Duncan, SC manufacturing facility. This individual will manage the full lifecycle of mechanical, electrical, and consumable parts — from sourcing and purchasing through receipt, storage, and issuance to the production floor. The ideal candidate brings proven parts or inventory management experience from a manufacturing or industrial setting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred, as our customer and vendor base include a significant Spanish-speaking population.

• Establish and manage the parts room from the ground up, including shelving organization, part numbering, and bin labeling systems
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and consumable parts and supplies
• Set and manage reorder points, safety stock levels, and min/max quantities to prevent production stoppages
• Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits
• Implement and manage inventory control software or ERP/CMMS modules for parts tracking

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for parts, materials, and MRO supplies
• Issue and track purchase orders; manage vendor lead times and delivery performance
• Develop relationships with preferred vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation, blanket orders, or alternative sourcing
• Resolve discrepancies in deliveries, invoices, and part quality with vendors

• Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to anticipate parts needs and support planned maintenance schedules
• Coordinate expedited parts orders to minimize equipment downtime
• Communicate parts availability, lead times, and supply issues clearly to internal stakeholders
• Assist in new equipment commissioning by ensuring all required spare parts and consumables are on hand

• Supervise parts room staff as the team grows (storeroom clerk, receiving personnel)
• Train staff on parts room procedures, inventory software, and safety compliance
• Maintain organized records of purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and inventory transactions
• Generate reports on inventory value, usage trends, and cost variances for management review
