Golf Course Manager

About the position: This position will be assigned to Shaw AFB, SC.

This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave).

Responsible for the full range of both course and facility operational management and maintenance of the golf course. Implements higher-level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational, and promotional programs. Establishes, reviews, and evaluates food service and purchase of supplies, equipment, and resale merchandise. Establishes financial goals commensurate with market analysis of area or region.

Prepares budget, analyzes financial results, and maintains solid financial condition of the facility and course. Responsible for workforce management, recruitment, and staff training. Manages real property resources, and provides expert advice on renovations, improvements, and minor and major construction. Promotes, organizes, schedules, and conducts tournaments, matches, special events, and daily course activities. Conducts or ensures conduct of golf lessons. Ensures course, putting green, chipping practice area, golf carts, and rental equipment are correctly maintained.

Oversees the operation of a pro shop and/or snack bar.
