In this role, you will operate and optimize production equipment, maintain product quality, minimize equipment downtime, and sustain budgeted waste levels daily. • Operate production equipment with the Sharps Department, while meeting quality, efficiency, waste, and safety goals.
• Operate all packaging equipment, ensuring that product is accurately packed and labeled per specification.
• Participate as a team associate in activities required to ensure successful daily operations of the Sharps Department.
• Operate all equipment at acceptable quality and quantity levels.
• Perform quality checks as required by specifications.
• Maintain accurate production, downtime and quality check records.
• Advise technical personnel of equipment malfunctions.
• Utilize Batch Numbers as assigned in SAP.
• Stamp Batch Numbers on shelf cartons and case cartons with accurate product and batch information.
• Perform general housekeeping duties throughout shift.
• Observe all safety and environmental procedures and Quality Systems Requirements (QSR).

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to operate production equipment with precision and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic knowledge of safety and environmental procedures
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred

• Manufacturing experience
• Quality Inspection experience

• BD is a smoke‑free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas.
• False eyelashes, press‑on fingernails, and Jewelry are not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
• Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non‑slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
