Production Associate

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Process product using tools (including knives), manual labor, and equipment following USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.

Operate equipment and process product according to quality and quantity expectations.

Observe equipment operation, report malfunctions or safety concerns.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist others using skills and knowledge gained from the position.

Follow all safety, quality, and food safety policies; promote a positive and cooperative work environment.

Recognize and act on safety incidents and risks; enforce safe work habits.

Participate in process improvements and problem solving using continuous improvement methodologies.

Follow all animal welfare guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Basic Skills and

Qualifications:

Ability to understand simple instructions and apply common sense.
Work well with minimal variables in standardized situations.
Ability to work in cool temperatures (~40°F).
Stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
Multitask efficiently and work quickly.
