The Quarry Equipment Operator plays a key role in supporting daily quarry operations, ensuring efficient extraction and production of raw materials while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. This position involves operating a range of heavy mobile equipment, performing basic maintenance, and assisting in production activities within a high-performance team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy mobile equipment including rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozers, haul trucks, motor graders, water trucks, and hydraulic rock breakers.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on mobile machinery.
- Monitor quality indicators such as drilling patterns and material samples, adjusting operations to meet production and quality standards.
- Support and enforce plant safety programs through proactive participation and adherence to all procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of operations, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to plan, organize, and execute work assignments efficiently.
- Perform mechanical checkouts and basic preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Participate in departmental safety meetings and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Complete other operational tasks as assigned to support overall quarry productivity.
