Waste Water Maintenance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Performing routine inspections, lubricating machinery, changing fluids, and testing equipment to prevent failures before they happen.
• Equipment Repair: Troubleshooting malfunctions, rebuilding pumps, replacing impellers/seals, and repairing underground pipes or electrical controls.
• Collection System Upkeep: Cleaning sewer lines, removing blockages, and operating equipment like jt flushers to ensure a steady flow of wastewater.
• Plant Maintenance: Servicing physical structures, tanks, valves, grit chambers, and UV disinfection systems used throughout the five stages of wastewater treatment; communicating with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and determine potential mechanical issues; performing preventive maintenance; completing assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency regarding time and resources.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Technical school preferred.

• Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
• General mathematics ability required to perform job.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
• Basic knowledge of standard and metric measures.
• Must be able to work assigned days/shifts (including some weekends).
