Filling Operator

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (7:00AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position SummaryThe Filling Operator performs all operations required to fill, label, and package containers with the final product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Assemble and hook up required equipment to fill containers to a specified weight using a specified filter medium.
- Cleans production vessels as required.
- Complete proper documentation (such as a fill slip) correctly and accurately and enter data into computer.
- Identify product numbers and corresponding batch numbers.
- Clean up and properly store equipment used. Follow all clean‑up and housekeeping procedures.
- Under supervision and with proper PPE, handle hazardous materials.
- Involve with disposal of hazardous waste as part of housekeeping procedures; initial and annual training provided by EHS.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Preferred education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. - Basic math skills and ability to convert various measurements.
- Forklift certification strongly preferred; ability to use a pallet jack.
- Computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
- Ability to receive and provide instructions positively.
Physical Requirements Physical Demands
Frequent talking/hearing, standing, walking, using hands to handle objects or controls, moving from place to place, sitting, balancing, stooping, occasionally reaching above shoulders, and occasional use of feet to operate machinery. Regular lifting of up to 65 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and focus adjustment.
Work EnvironmentWork will be performed in a well‑ventilated, heated production area near moving mechanical parts. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles may occur, and work in all weather conditions may be required when outside. Noise levels are typically loud near production equipment and moderate in office areas. Personal protective equipment—safety shoes, glasses, flame‑retardant uniforms, respirators, and ear plugs—may be required during certain activities.
