Maintenance Technician-Manufacturing Equipment

Required

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:

Experience maintaining production equipment preferred. Experience repairing production machinery preferred. Experience troubleshooting machine operations preferred. Experience supporting maintenance personnel during major repairs preferred.

Technical

Skills:

Set up operate optimize changeover troubleshoot and maintain production equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and proper use of tools. Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment. Read and interpret machine blueprints. Debug and adjust production equipment. Maintain equipment logs and production downtime records. Monitor and replenish component inventories. Perform quality control checks and required process challenges. Operate machine control panels. Support equipment optimization and downtime reduction.

Maintain production documentation and records. Follow Quality System Requirements QSR safety and environmental procedures.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail. Clear and legible documentation skills. Ability to maintain a neat and organized work area. Ability to support upstream and downstream operations. Ability to adapt to changing production needs.

Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform machine setup maintenance and repairs throughout the shift. Ability to work a rotating day shift including weekends. Eye exam required. Safety steel-toe shoes or composite-toe shoes required.

Responsibilities:
Operate equipment within specified quality and production requirements. Set up debug and optimize production equipment. Troubleshoot adjust clean and repair machinery. Perform preventative maintenance according to plant procedures. Maintain equipment logs and production downtime records. Repair equipment within capability and report major issues to supervisors. Assist maintenance personnel during major equipment repairs. Start up equipment and verify proper machine and control panel operation.

Monitor component inventory levels and notify material handlers when supplies are low. Check clean and maintain part tracks for proper component movement. Safely stop and restart machine cycles when jams occur. Perform and document quality control checks and process challenges. Monitor in process quality to prevent product holds. Follow safety environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements. Support upstream and downstream manufacturing operations.

Perform rework activities as required. Complete additional duties assigned to support production and business needs.
