Job Purpose/
Summary:
The Inserts Welder performs hand welding operations to make inserts for polyurethane and rubber panels according to specifications.
Able to set up adjustable welding jig according to print or select jig from rack.
Must be able to weld to required specifications.
Inspects first piece to ensure correct quality specifications are met.
Performs job according to work order requirements . Moves finished product to staging area.
Reports labor and materials accurately to ERP system.
Maintains good housekeeping, 5 S and safety practices in work areas.
PPE must be used at all times.
Perform related duties as required .
Skills/
Certifications:
Welding experience preferred .
Minimum Education & Work Experience
Required:
High school or GED diploma with some specialized courses or certificate .
2-3 years’ work experience .
Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Calculate measurements.
Supervisory Responsibility & Budget Accountability:
Accountable for quality welding of inserts and meeting productivity targets daily.
High responsibility for the safety of others.
The job is performed in a manufacturing facility where dust and noise are prevalent .
Other Comments:
Uses welding equipment and hand tools.
Arc flash exposure.
Uses independent judgement and discretion based upon the employee’s experience in the position and knowledge of the products, equipment, and services.
Moderate levels of stress may be experienced in the performance of the job.
This is an on-site role and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
