Molding Operator

Only qualified Molding Operator candidates located near the Sumter, South Carolina area to be considered due to the position requiring an on-site presence.

Required

Education:

High School Diploma (HS Diploma) or General Educational Development (GED)

Required Experience:

Prefer 1 to 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Prefer experience working with injection molding presses, including electric and hydraulic presses.

Tech

Skills:

Injection molding presses, Multi cavity injection molding machines, Auxiliary equipment, Injection molds and presses, Product inspection, Preventive maintenance task lists, Equipment manuals, Work instructions and controlled documents, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Steel toe shoes or composite shoes required.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a team with limited supervision, Ability to maintain product quality standards, Ability to make appropriate decisions related to product quality, Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area, Ability to support team members during breaks and call outs.

Responsibilities:
Perform molding production activities in the assigned area, Perform minor maintenance activities on assigned presses, Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components, Inspect molded components and request technical support when needed to maintain part quality, Operate multi cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufacture products according to quality specifications and rated output, Operate injection molds and presses and place surplus molded components into inventory, Maintain knowledge of products produced in the department raw materials required and product quality specifications, Maintain machinery work areas and floors in a neat and orderly condition, Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, Perform thorough product inspections and make appropriate decisions related to product quality requirements, Work effectively with molding team members to keep equipment running during breaks and call outs, Follow relevant controlled documents work instructions forms preventive maintenance task lists and equipment manuals, Stack boxes and totes, Bag materials, Print labels, Work the assigned schedule including weekends, Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, Complete required eye examination.
