What impact you’ll makeAs a member of the Process Industrialization team, you will be an active contributor to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role executes steps to move process from development to production; driving the hand off process, post deployment support, and problem solving to finish the industrialization of a process into full production.
Focus is on meeting the needs of the production teams as internal customers.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute team demands and roadmap initiatives
- Executes hand offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets
- Execute hands‑on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand‑off to the production team
- Supports project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and problem solving
- Support problem solving post deployment
- Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste
- Engineering, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes
- Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness
- Incorporate lean manufacturing principles into process development
- Utilize kaizen activities for continuous improvement and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiative
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment
- Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated project management experience (PMP certification)
- Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Ability to coordinate and manage several projects simultaneously
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Deep manufacturing technical expertise Has comprehensive knowledge of underlying principles, approaches, and methodology
This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC Garlington Road location
