Job Description Required Experience Minimum two years of work experience in a manufacturing environment Experience setting up, operating, optimizing, changing over, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment Experience meeting production standards while maintaining product quality and minimizing equipment downtime Experience maintaining equipment logs and production and downtime records Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment Tech Skills Detailed operational knowledge of assigned production equipment Equipment setup, debugging, changeover, optimization, and troubleshooting Basic pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic knowledge Proper use of tools and equipment setup procedures Equipment adjustment, cleaning, repair, and maintenance Equipment logs, production records, and downtime records Preventive maintenance procedures and PM programs Machine startup and control panel operation Component inventory monitoring and replenishment Part track inspection and cleaning Quality control checks and process challenges Quality System Requirements (QSR) Plant policies, department procedures, and equipment specifications Clear and legible handwriting Soft Skills Ability to meet and exceed production standards Strong attention to product quality and equipment performance Ability to identify and address equipment and production issues Ability to communicate major equipment problems to supervisors Ability to work with Manufacturing Technicians, Engineering, and Maintenance teams Ability to maintain a neat and orderly production environment Ability to follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures Ability to work overtime based on business needs Responsibilities Set up, operate, optimize, change over, troubleshoot, and maintain assigned departmental production equipment Maintain equipment within specified quality and quantity limits Set up and debug equipment according to specifications, plant policies, and department procedures Obtain supervisor or Engineering approval for deviations from equipment specifications Adjust, troubleshoot, clean, and repair equipment as necessary Maintain equipment in working order to support product quality and production requirements Maintain equipment logs and record downtime and maintenance problems Repair equipment within assigned capabilities and report major problems to the supervisor Assist Manufacturing Technician, Engineering, and Maintenance Department with major repairs Perform preventive maintenance according to the plant PM program or as needed for efficient operation Start up equipment and verify proper machine and control panel functioning Monitor and replenish component inventories Verify all safety guards are in position and functioning properly Check and clean part tracks to ensure free travel of component parts Notify the material handler when component supplies are running low Maintain accurate production and downtime records in logbooks Maintain a neat and orderly production environment Monitor in process quality and address issues to prevent product holds Perform and document all required quality control checks Run all required process challenges Follow all safety and environmental procedures Follow Quality System Requirements (QSR) Physical Demands Work 8am–8pm Monday through Thursday with occasional Friday overtime Complete minimum six weeks of training on the 8am–8pm day shift under the 3-2-2-3 schedule Work overtime when requested due to business needs Complete required onsite eye exam Wear required steel toe or composite safety shoes Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client's business needs and requirements
