Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse at HCA Healthcare Long Point Emergency Room, you will deliver safe, high‑quality patient‑centered care while receiving full staffing support, technology, and resources.
Responsibilities- Assess and coordinate patient care in accordance with departmental standards and state nursing scope.
- Collaborate with medical providers and care team to deliver individualized, compassionate care using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”
- Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers; communicate effectively and educate them on medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and post‑care measures.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document care administration in the patient medical record timely and thoroughly.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve them proactively.
- Teach patients and families about post‑care measures, healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Prepare patients and families for future self‑management.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred).
- Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or an active RN compact license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
