Job Overview
No on-call, no weekends, outpatient surgery center, M-F opportunities available. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position in Fairfield, CT with Azura Vascular Care.
Responsibilities- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations, obtain informed consent, and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Select, administer anesthetics, adjuvant drugs and fluids; manage equipment and perform safety checks.
- Administer anesthesia and sedation, manage airways, and ensure safe delivery during procedures.
- Monitor patient condition, maintain time-based records, and adjust care to maintain stability.
- Manage patient emergence and recovery, provide follow-up care, and discharge from the post-anesthesia unit.
- Implement pain management strategies including regional anesthesia and interventional procedures.
- Stabilize patients in emergencies providing airway, cardiovascular, and respiratory support.
- Ensure patient safety, comply with standards, participate in quality initiatives, and collaborate with teams.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia educational program.
- Current appropriate state licensure and compliance with state regulatory requirements.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer.
- 8–12 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience; 5 years of CRNA experience preferred.
- Proficient in operating anesthesia equipment and providing perioperative support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Skill in providing age- and population-appropriate patient care.
- Knowledge of infection control practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow facility policies.
$150.00 per hour – $250.00 per hour, Fairfield, CT. Key benefits include compensation, working hour flexibility, no-weekend/evening/on-call duties, and additional benefits as provided.
Physical Demands & Working ConditionsTypical healthcare facility environment with controlled temperature and moderate noise levels. Physical demands include standing most of the time, lifting and positioning patients, and lifting objects over 50 pounds. May require 10–15% travel, primarily during business hours, with occasional overnight travel.
