Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
- Respond to emergencies and perform life‑saving interventions as needed
- Advocate for patients while supporting diversity and personalized care
- Participate in professional development, quality improvement, and unit initiatives
- Patient assessment

- Wound care
- Vital signs monitoring and interpretation
- Patient and family education
- Infection prevention and control
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within defined timeframe
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or other specialty certifications as applicable
- Prior acute care or clinical experience preferred
