Quality Operator

Job Purpose

Responsible for inspection of product in all processes. Identify cause of related defects.

• Must be assertive rejecting poor Quality.
• Must maintain positive communication with Management Team, Quality, and Production associates.
• Must work with the team to ensure vacation and absence coverage.
• Must be competent using Microsoft Office, Excel, and SAP.
• Must complete all inspection documentation daily, including documentation of all checks that are performed, all issues, and First Article Inspection.
• Must quarantine non-conforming material. Must disposition Scrap and fill out required documentation.
• Must be effective with use of time to ensure all processes of manufacturing are inspected.
• Perform inspection of fabricated steel parts.
• Perform inspection of welded assemblies.
• Perform inspection of welds and placement of welds.
• Perform inspection of grind radius, surface, and edge preparation.
• Perform inspection of powder coating surfaces and thicknesses.
• Monitoring of process parameters to include equipment settings and titration.
• A primary duty is to exercise discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the quality department.
• Must be engaged and competent in EOS - MDI Boards, Accountability Tags, 5S, 5 Why's, and Rapid Improvement Events.

• High school diploma or equivalent, 5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Some experience with blueprints and precision measurement preferred.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of blueprints and precision measuring techniques.
