Working Pattern: 4 ten‑hour days during a Monday through Thursday work week.

In this role within the Power Systems business, you will develop, coordinate, and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.

• Respond to line calls with immediate corrective action using PDCA, 5 Whys, 8D and A3 tools.
• Develop long‑range corrective measures through root‑cause analysis consistent with corporate objectives.
• Provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns.
• Design and implement control plan and inspection routings.
• Support procurement and maintenance of gauges and measuring equipment for quality control initiatives throughout the facility.
• Perform process, machine and gauge capability studies.
• Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering and 3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering, or 7 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
• Applicant must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Strong knowledge of the practical application of quality engineering science and technology, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of internal combustion engines.
• Experience with quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing of engines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of MTU products.
• Working knowledge of gauge calibration and test equipment.

Daily work is performed in a general manufacturing and office environment with a compressed schedule of four ten‑hour days Monday through Thursday. Overtime is possible.

Typical tasks may involve computer work inside and outside the work environment, occasional wet conditions, frequent noise exposure, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, squatting, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, or moving materials weighing 10–50 pounds.

Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus and see color, and inspection of MTU America engine products under a fluorescent black light.
