Outside Sales Representative II

Overview

We are Builders First Source, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components and building services to the professional market.

As part of our sales team, you will represent the company during the sales process by collecting customer needs and design specifications, soliciting new customers, generating sales, and acting as liaison between inside design staff, production staff, and customers in developing sales proposals.

• Research, identify, and solicit new customers.
• Generate sales opportunities through research on client needs, industry competition, and effective demonstration of the features and benefits of company products and services.
• Take measurements and collect specification information at the customer’s site, developing an understanding of customer needs and matching those needs with company products and services.
• Effectively plan and conduct sales presentations for current and prospective customers, designing professional presentations and providing clarification of how we can meet their specific needs.
• Resolve issues or hand them off to the appropriate employee for resolution.

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field plus two (2) years of industry sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
