About Lineage
Lineage is the platform for rental property investors. We coordinate acquisition, lending, insurance, and property management into a single transaction so investors can buy rental property as simply as they buy stocks. Our mission is to open real estate investing to everyone. The founding team has completed $1.5B+ in transactions and served 6,000+ investors. The platform is new. The experience behind it is not.
We're seed-stage and have product-market fit. The hardest problems are ahead. We hire fewer, more senior people and let AI multiply their output. Every hire changes what the company becomes.
You're the first conversation an investor has with Lineage, and your job is to turn interest into a booked meeting. You qualify inbound leads, get the ones who fit onto an Investment Plan Consultation with an account executive, and then make sure they actually show up. You won't pitch the platform, talk properties, or cold-call strangers. These are people who already raised their hand, and your job is to get them onto the calendar and glad they said yes.
We move quickly with little process overhead, and because your texts and calls set the tone for everything that follows, they need to be warm, clear, and easy to say yes to. You'll join a small, distributed team and report to Brendan Seiber, Director of Sales. The role is remote.
The number that matters most in this seat is show rate, because a booked meeting that doesn't hold is worth nothing. It's the highest-leverage lever in the whole funnel, and moving it is your job.
This is a setter seat, not a closing seat. It's also where our account executives learn the funnel from the ground up. Prove you can qualify cleanly and hold a calendar, and the path to an AE seat is open. We'd rather promote a strong setter than hire a stranger to close.
Work you'll do
In your first 90 days you'll own the top of our direct-to-consumer funnel, qualifying inbound leads and getting them booked and held.
Run the quick qualification call, usually about five minutes. Confirm the two things that matter, $100K+ in liquid capital and an openness to buying out of state, then book the Investment Plan Consultation within three days. It isn't a sales call, so there's no pitching or property talk.
Reach new leads fast. A fresh hand-raiser gets a first touch within 15 minutes, because speed to lead is most of the game.
Hand the investor off to the account executive at booking and introduce them by name, so the person feels committed to a human rather than a slot on a calendar.
Run the confirmation cadence over text and email, at booking, the day before, the morning of, and 30 minutes before, so the meeting holds.
Log everything in Hub Spot the moment it happens, not at the end of the day. If it isn't in the CRM, it didn't happen.
What we're looking for
We hire for optimism, agency, and rigor, and we screen hard for self-awareness.
- You're outgoing, friendly, and easy to like on the phone. People enjoy talking to you, and you can make a stranger want to meet with us in the space of a short call.
- You're organized and quick, and a fast pace energizes you instead of rattling you.
- You can qualify without pitching, and you know the difference between booking a good fit and booking a warm body.
- You're persistent without being pushy. You get people to show up through genuine interest, never hype or pressure.
- You're coachable and want to get a little better every week.
- You'll stand out if you have
- Phone or appointment-setting experience, especially with higher-dollar or financial products.
- Comfort moving between phone, text, and video, since first calls happen on all three.
- Enough real estate or investing familiarity to sound credible.
- Any track record of improving a show rate or a speed-to-lead number.
- This isn't the right role if you
- Want to pitch and close right now, because this is the setter seat and the handoff to the AE is the whole point.
- Think the job is done when the meeting is booked rather than when it's held.
- Lean on pressure or false urgency to hit a number, which is the opposite of how we sell.
- Lose steam under a…
