As a Security Officer Access Control Driving Role in Charleston, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic construction location, where you will help manage site entry, monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work with integrity, and contribute through teamwork each day.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control duties, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Complete required reports and document security-related activities, incidents, and/or unusual conditions in a timely manner.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
